| CARRIAGE RIDES | |
|---|---|
Free Carriage Rides! Take a step back in time and enjoy life at a slower pace for just a few minutes. Horse drawn carriages and buggies were a way of life in Downtown Lynchburg before the turn of the 20th century. December 3, 10 and 17 from 10am to 2pm these carriages will return to the streets of Lynchburg. Lexington Carriage Company will be here with their beautiful carriages, friendly horses and great drivers. Rides are offered free to the public on a first come first serve basis with carriages leaving from 10th & Main and from the Community Market. The slow pace of the carriage ride means you get to take in the sights and sounds of the holiday season. See the pretty window displays and store fronts of the downtown shops and boutiques. Spot a restaurant where you, your friends and family can grab lunch or come back for dinner. When the ride is through, step off to take care of all of your holiday shopping as you find unique gifts, handmade crafts and stocking stuffers at every turn. Enjoy the day in Downtown Lynchburg- make it a holiday tradition you will enjoy for years to come. Carriages are sponsored by Lynch’s Landing and the Friends of the Community Market. |
